Exhibition Concept:

Cities narrate stories of man‘s journey into the history; a delicate combination of ancient thoughts and the willingness to change, sometimes overtaking one another and separating their paths at other times. The presence and type of man beside urban structures beautifully depict this story. This exhibition aims at showcasing the effect of the interaction between culture and modernity on man‘s presence and view: the traditional man in the modern space or the modern man in the traditional atmosphere. Such lack of liveliness in people’s views can inform us of their lack of presence in the moment as if they were living somewhere else or in a remote dream. The modern man is no longer present where he physically occupies. His eyes reflect being in a better place or hesitant about a vague future.
I have tried to portray these concepts in Iran through photography. Intertwined shadows emerging from the depths of history and culture have devoured the past over time and now present a new definition of culture and civilization.
City Shadows is the title I have chosen for this collection of my photos and now invite you to view this story via the frame of my camera.
Thank you
Photography, including both taking and seeing photos, is nowadays an essential part of everyday life. The virtual world along with various applications keep encouraging us to see and share photos. This has by far influenced our general taste and awareness which can still be promoted by raising our knowledge of the art and science of photography. This can also lead to a better world. Beauty and awareness are indispensable components of a better future; and photography is an appropriate medium to achieve both.
Many thanks
